Ananta: Everlasting - dance of Shiva within a circle
Rachel Galley’s latest collection was inspired by a trip to India. “In one of India’s many ancient palaces I came upon a beautiful, intricate carving which contained a separate ring encased in lotus flowers and dragons. The ring moved independently, although it was created from the same piece of wood.
Adding my own interpretation - to keep continual motion within my pendants - I have tried to translate this seemingly magical movement by placing an exotic stone within the pendant’s spherical encasement.” Reminiscent of the perpetual motion of Shiva dancing within a circle, the new collection is named: ‘Ananta’.
Rachel’s full range will feature; silver and gold pendants, necklaces, bracelets, drop earrings, cufflinks and more. Each piece is designed to be personalised and can be made to order, incorporating a stone of the customer’s choice –including a birthstone, a golden orb, pearl or precious stone.
The bespoke pendant shown in 18ct white gold with a single black pearl is price on application.
